Head Designer Michelle

Michelle Douglas, the visionary founder and head designer of Meg by Design, infuses the brand with a distinct earthy essence, focusing on raw, textured linen and natural fabrics. Starting solo from her Byron Bay home, Michelle has transformed her venture into a flourishing enterprise with a dedicated production team of local and overseas seamstresses.

Michelle's passion for revitalising old treasures is evident not only in her label but also in her rustic home nestled just above the village of Bangalow, NSW. Her home and studio, a quaint rustic haven, is adorned with textiles, wire cages, metal lamps, and weathered wooden tables set against all-white wooden floors and walls.

Sustainability

They repurpose or compost excess fabrics and offcuts, and their packaging mirrors nature itself – 100% plastic-free and compostable.
